Question

What safety precautions will be taken at your ceremony and reception?

Answer

We have been working hard with our partners (church, reception venue, vendors, etc.) to identify and implement safety measures for our wedding. For our ceremony — Masks will be required, guests will be distanced, and hand sanitizer will be readily available. For our reception — Temperatures will be taken at the door; anyone with a temperature exceeding 100.4 °F will be asked to leave. Tables will be set up at least six feet apart, and each table will have its own bottle of hand sanitizer. Guests must wear masks outside of the banquet hall; within the banquet hall, mask use is encouraged. Dinner will be plated to avoid sharing utensils. The dance floor will be marked to illustrate appropriate social distancing; you may dance at your own discretion. How could the pandemic further affect the wedding?

Answer

We are closely monitoring the situation, and your health is our priority. We are hopeful for a reopening that would allow us to proceed safely with the wedding as planned. However, current restrictions in Illinois only allow for limited gatherings. It breaks our hearts to say, but if there is no change to the current situation, we will be forced to reduce our gathering to a limited guest list. We will continue to stay updated on the most recent changes to Illinois policy and keep you all apprised. When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

We kindly request you send your reply by August 8th, 2020. Please, RSVP here on the website - no need to mail anything!

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is cocktail attire.

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

Both our ceremony and reception venue have large parking lots. You are free to use them both at no cost!

Where are you registered?

Answer

We are registered at Target, Crate and Barrel, and REI. All registries are conveniently combined here on our Zola website and can be accessed via the "Registry" tab.
