Cigarral de Las Mercedes

Cigarral de las Mercedes is the one-stop shop for the Kretzer & Dattelbaum wedding. This will house all wedding events outlined in our schedule as well as our formal hotel block, which includes complimentary breakfasts on Thursday and Friday. PLEASE NOTE: The hotel has limited capacity, so we expect rooms to book up quickly. If you know you are attending and want to stay on site please reserve your room as soon as possible.

Part of the Marriott Family, this 5-Star hotel is situated right in the heart of Toledo. It's a great place to stay if you're interested in staying in the city center and is a great option if you're extending your stay before or after the wedding.

Parador de Toledo

A local boutique hotel, the Parador is a similar set-up to Cigarral de las Mercedes. It's outside of the city center and a great option if you want a similarly historic feel to our venue.

There are plenty of options for different Airbnb or Vrbo stays in and around Toledo if you'd prefer to have your own space during your trip.

Flight

Madrid–Barajas International Airport

Madrid is the closest international airport to our venue and hosts a ton of direct flights from the US. The airport is about an hour from our venue. Please take a look at our schedule and FAQs before booking flights to make sure you leave enough time to get from Madrid to Toledo with plenty of time to spare. Plan for plenty of time to get through Customs, they added new registration check points which has been adding additional time.

Fun fact, driving in Spain is the same as in the US. You drive on the right side of the road and the driver's seat is on the left side of the car. So if you're comfortable driving stick, or don't care about paying a little extra for an automatic, renting a car from the airport is pretty simple. And if you're staying at Cigarral de las Mercedes, there's free parking during your stay.

Ride Shares

There are a few ride share options available from Madrid to Toledo including Uber. Once you have Wifi or cell service after getting off the plane, you can use your Uber app as normal with your associated credit card. For local ride shares, you can download Cabify, which tends to have cheaper rates than Uber.

Train

Madrid-Atocha Station

The train is the quickest way to get from Madrid to Toledo and takes only 35 minutes. Make sure to purchase tickets in advance online through Spain's train line website, Renfe, because trains fill up fast between the two cities. Be aware that this train line limits passengers to 3 bags each and you will need to put everything through a scanner, so make sure to get there at least 30 minutes before departure.
