Dulles Airport is a great option for those traveling longer distances! This airport usually offers more options, including direct flights and flight times. It is metro accessible, but a bit farther from the DC/Alexandria area where events will be taking place, so we suggest banking about 60-75 minutes if you're taking the metro into town or to catch your flight home. If you're coming early or staying after our wedding weekend has wrapped up to do some sightseeing, we suggest taking the Metro to get around! It's an easy and affordable option that won't leave you stuck in DC traffic. The Metro recently added a new feature that allows you to pay your fare by tapping your phone or credit card at the faregate, rather than buying a SmarTrip Card.

If you want to explore Old Town Alexandria, try taking the free King Street Trolley! It travels along King Street, which runs through the heart of Old Town. It's a fun way to get down to the waterfront and enjoy the sights!
