Our Love Story

Our love story started as a friendship 17 years ago in 2007; we met through mutual friends. We would run into each other at a party, nightclub or a social event. We always enjoyed talking to each other and laughing. We had a mutually positive respect for one another. At a Labor Day party in the summer of 2022, our connection ignited. "Intention & timing" as Doug likes to say, the timing was right. “Let me know if you ever need any help, I can fix anything", said Doug. The cheesiest pick-up line ever. But, rather clever! On our 3rd date, while dancing under the stars, Doug asked, “Marry Me?”. The response was, "Hell no Doug Mitchell, ask me right!". Less than a year later, did he ever! We went to Paris and in front of the Eiffel Tower, Doug got down on one knee and asked, “Marry Me?”. The most romantic surprise ever. We are blessed. We get along perfectly, we talk and understand each other. We are passionate about life; we are positive people and we laugh…A LOT! We ARE best friends!
