Sayulita or Sofa - We'll Feel the Love Either Way

As we prepare to celebrate our wedding in beautiful Sayulita, Mexico, we want to take a moment to acknowledge something important: we understand that traveling internationally is a significant financial and time commitment. Please know from the bottom of our hearts that while your presence would mean the world to us, there is absolutely no pressure or expectation to attend. We completely understand if you’re unable to make the trip, and we hope you feel our love and gratitude regardless. Your well wishes, support, and excitement for this next chapter in our lives are more than enough. Whether you’re with us in person or in spirit, we carry you with us on our special day. ¡Viva!

A Note to Our Lovely Guests

We’re so excited to celebrate our wedding with the people we love most — in one of our favorite places! Thank you for making the journey to join us in Sayulita, Mexico. We hope this site helps you plan your trip, stay updated on details, and share in the joy with us.

How We Met

Love at first swipe

Our story began the way many modern love stories do — with a few hopeful swipes and a dating app that somehow got it right. After a handful of surprisingly genuine messages, we decided to meet for what turned out to be a very unconventional first date: a late-night walk through Judkins Park. Yes, it was dark. No, we hadn’t met in person before. And yet, there we were — two near-strangers choosing vulnerability, strolling through moonlit paths, sharing pieces of ourselves like old friends who just hadn’t seen each other in a while. From that night on, something just clicked. Our connection felt effortless, open, and deeply familiar — like we had known each other in a thousand lifetimes before this one. What followed was a love that bridged cities, with countless drives and train rides between Seattle and Portland, turning weekends into memories and long-distance into something beautiful. Eventually, those visits turned into building a life together — one filled with laughter, growth, a shared Spotify account, and the occasional debate over who gets the last fry. Now, over four years later, we’re still discovering new reasons to fall in love — and we couldn’t be more thrilled to celebrate this next chapter with the people who’ve cheered us on, supported us, and made our world brighter.

Our Engagement

Corney or cute? Proposal from a cheeseball

On May 4, 2023, during a dream trip to Bali, Daniel asked the question that would change everything — but not before a few unexpected twists. The day before the proposal, on the only rainy day of the trip, Veronica took a tumble off a motorbike in the middle of Seminyak traffic. Battered but in good spirits (and a little suspicious of Daniel’s sudden concern for “timing”), she had no idea what was waiting for her the next evening. After a sunny beach day meant to lift the mood, they returned to their AirBnb — where Daniel had secretly transformed their bedroom. Balloons floated above, and the bed was covered in rose petals that spelled out, “Will you marry me?” Completely caught off guard, Veronica responded with a stunned laugh, a loving whack to Daniel’s chest, and then — the answer he was hoping for: “Yes, I will!”
