Rocky Mountain is a local favorite and just 0.8 miles from Sunset Beach Cottages. The hike is less than 30 minutes to the top and offers a breathtaking view, especially during peak leaf season. It's a great way to enjoy the Adirondack scenery and take in some fresh mountain air.
Bald Mountain Trailhead & Rondaxe Fire Tower
If you’re in the mood for a quick hike with big rewards, Bald Mountain (sometimes called Rondaxe) is a favorite. The hike is about 45 minutes up. Climb the fire tower at the top to enjoy sweeping views of the Fulton Chain of Lakes and the surrounding Adirondack peaks! Directions: Once you turn onto Rondaxe Road, the trailhead and parking lot will be on your left!
McCauley Mountain Ski Center
For a unique and unforgettable view of the fall foliage, head over to McCauley Mountain! Just a 20 minute drive from Inlet, McCauley runs its chairlift during the fall season, giving visitors a chance to take in the stunning Adirondack colors from above. The ride takes you to the top of the mountain, where you’ll be treated to sweeping views of the surrounding lakes, forests, and mountains. It’s a perfect outing for all ages, and no hiking required!

If you’re looking for a casual spot to grab lunch, dinner, or a drink with a great view, we highly recommend Daiker’s. It’s right on Fourth Lake, with a spacious patio overlooking the water, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the area.
