To Be Wed

Our story starts like many great love stories do, at a college party. We met, chatted a bit, and then went our separate ways without thinking much of it. Fast forward a little while later and we randomly ran into each other again at a group hangout at a lake in Dallas. We exchanged Snapchats but didn’t think much of it… because, honestly, what are the chances we’d actually see each other again? Apparently, the universe was determined to prove us wrong. A while later, we crossed paths again, this time at a bar in Fort Worth. And here’s the funny part: He started calling and texting me all night, not because he was head-over-heels or anything romantic like that… but because his friends were drunk, one had disappeared, and he needed backup. (So romantic, right?) Somehow, between searching for his lost friend and keeping his buddies in check, we ended up talking a lot. That night turned into more conversations, more laughs, and eventually, something the two couldn’t ignore. After a few months (and a little friendly shove from his friends), he finally asked me to be his girlfriend. It wasn’t love at first sight, more like love at third coincidence. But looking back, it’s clear the universe (and God) was trying to get their attention. After all, how many “random” run-ins does it take before you realize it’s meant to be?
