The U.S. National Whitewater Center in Charlotte, NC, is an outdoor adventure hub offering a variety of activities for all skill levels. Visitors can enjoy the world’s largest man-made whitewater river for rafting, kayaking, or paddleboarding, along with mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing, zip-lining, and an aerial ropes course. The center also hosts live music, festivals, and seasonal events. During May, they have a live music event called River Jam on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings. You can bring chairs/blankets and get drinks/food there. Free to get in, but you have to pay for parking.

Haberdish - really good southern food, great service Ever Andalo - amazing Italian food, in the same restaurant group as Haberdish and Supperland in Plaza Midwood The Good Year House - good food, cute outside area The Ugly - good cocktails Salud - really good pizza, casual spot, good beer. Downstairs is the bottle shop, upstairs is the taproom. Rosie's Wine Garden - We love this place, it's a very cute little garden, you can walk around and have a coffee or wine/beer. You can also bring in your own food. There's plenty of tables to sit at outside, smaller space inside. Check the website to make sure there's not an event going on there, they do weddings there on Saturdays sometimes.
Charlotte Beer Garden - three story brewery, a million beers, bar food, good late night spot Let's Meat - Korean BBQ, they bring you raw food and you cook it in the middle of the table. Good spot for groups (not great if you're vegetarian/vegan) Seoul Food - right next to Let's Meat, same owners and also Korean. The soy garlic wings are so good! Muraya - Colombian fusion restaurant (emphasis on the fusion part but not in a bad way), great food and they usually have live music Friday nights. Yunta - Peruvian and Japanese fusion restaurant, great food Salted Melon - market and eatery, good lunch spot, great salads and bowls, there's a location in Elizabeth too The Wine Loft - cute wine bar, live music on Fridays, good food, right next to Yunta If you want to go out, out and drink late go to Gin Mill and all the bars around there Pins Mechanical - bar with a bunch of arcade games you can play, no food but they do have a food truck sometimes Slingshot - very similar to Pins ^
People's Market - breakfast/lunch spot, good coffee, they do also have a full bar and bottled beer/wine you can buy and take home Big Ben Pub - British Pub right by People's Market Puerta - upscale Mexican food, make reservations ahead of time Flight - great food, a lot of flatbreads, right next to Puerta Sneak - cocktail bar by Flight and Puerta The Crunkleton - upscale cocktail bar with great food, make reservations ahead of time Catalina - their menu changes a lot, but their food is really good Caswell Station - good, casual bar food, nice porch area Wine Vault - wine bar, no food, but you can bring in whatever you want. There's a pizza place (Hawthorne's) and a fast food latin place (Sabor) right next to and across from it. Dogs are allowed inside.
