Things To Do

Rouen

Rouen

Rouen, Normandy, France

Paris is the obvious choice for a visit near our wedding, but we loved Rouen! It's a beautiful, walkable city of ~110,000. The French call Rouen "the city of 100 bell towers" for its many beautiful cathedrals.

Rouen Museum of Fine Arts

Rouen Museum of Fine Arts

Esplanade Marcel Duchamp, Rouen, Normandie 76000, France

The Musée des Beaux-Arts de Rouen has an amazing permanent collection that is free to visit, including many Monet paintings.

Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Rouen

Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Rouen

Place de la Cathédrale, Rouen, Normandie 76000, France

There are many amazing cathedrals and churches in Rouen, but this one is the most spectacular. It also includes an exhibit about Joan of Arc, who was killed in Rouen.

Delirium Café Rouen

Delirium Café Rouen

30 Rue des Vergetiers, Rouen, Normandie 76000, France

If you like Belgian beer, Delirium is one of the classics, and they have a multi-story bar in the city center of Rouen.

Prélude café

Prélude café

2 Place de la Pucelle, Rouen, Normandie 76000, France

This is unironically one of our favorite coffee shops we've been to in all of Europe. A lovely terrasse and excellent coffee!

Giverny

Giverny

Giverny, Normandy, France

Monet's house in Giverny, where he painted his famous water lilies series, was preserved as a museum.
