How do we get to our hotel?

Answer

We recommend flying to Charles-de-Gaulle Airport in Paris. From there you can: • Rent a car and drive ~1:30hr to your hotel. For our American guests: If you wish to drive, you will need a notarized French translation of your driver's license or an International Driving Permit. • Take the train ~1:00hr from Gare Saint-Lazare to Rouen and book a rideshare to your hotel. It is difficult to book a rideshare back to the city from the countryside, so you can ask your hotel to book you a taxi. • Book a private shuttle from the airport directly to your accomodations. What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is cocktail attire (think: long dresses, suit jackets and matching pants, etc. Cocktail is one step below formal). Avoid stiletto heels as the ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside on the lawn. We're at a French château, so have fun and dress to the occasion!

Can I bring a plus one?

Unfortunately, space is limited, so invitations are only for names listed on the envelope. If you have any questions, please send us a text!

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

There is parking at the venue. As mentioned above: our non-EU guests will need to have a notarized French translation of your driver's license or an International Driving Permit to drive in France.

What will the weather be like?

In ideal conditions, it will be sunny and low-to-mid 70s (21-23 Celsius).

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to arrive at the venue by 2:45pm. We have a champagne reception before the ceremony which will begin at 3pm.

Is there transportation to/from the wedding venue?

Answer

• If you are not staying at the château, we recommend asking your hotel for help booking a taxi to the venue for the 3pm start. • Starting at 1am after the wedding, we will have shuttles available to take you back to your hotel (only if you are staying in the Rouen area). These will be available until 5am. • For those staying at the château, on Sunday we will have four 9-seat shuttles available in the afternoon that will depart the château at 12:30pm and go to CDG. Check out is at 6pm.

We love your kids, but we want to give parents a vacation. Please reach out to us if you have any concerns.

Since the location isn't walkable, we're planning to bulk buy some snacks/food items. If you have dietary restrictions or preferred snacks, we recommend coming prepared for if you get hungry outside of meal times. The wine will be flowing, so we want full stomachs out there! Dinner will have a vegetarian option. Please reach out if you have further concerns.
