RSVP and deposit payment deadlines have passed for all guests. Thank you for understanding!
Unless clearly stated, we are not offering a +1 due to limited capacity.
No. To minimize costs for our friends, we are not having bridesmaids/groomsmen and we are not having bachelor/bachelorette parties. Your presence at our wedding is more than enough!
No, 21+ only.
Since we have secured a total buyout of the hotel, you will not need to reserve your rooms in advance. The deposit you submitted along with your RSVP secures you a room for two nights with meals & drinks during events included. We will assign you a room with your +1 if you have one, and with a friend or two if you don't. Due to limited capacity, no one will be in a room alone. More info in the “Travel + Hotel” section!
Want to adjust to the time difference a day or two before the festivities start? Totally understandable! Udaipur is a very touristy city with plenty of hotels and things to do. While the event hotel will not be available in the days leading up to the wedding, we recommend the following hotels if you arrive early: Hotel Lakend Chunda Palace Lalit Laxmi Vilas Fateh Villas You can ask the staff at your hotel to shuttle you over to the venue on the morning of the 19th.
No. We have blocked the days leading up to the wedding for family and planners only. We have organized a very special welcome for all other wedding guests on the 19th, so we encourage you to stay at other hotels in the area if you arrive early!
Yes. Please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months past February, 2026.
Yes, and it's very straight-forward to get one! Keep in mind that you should only apply for a visitor visa no sooner than 30 days prior to traveling to India, as approvals happen very quickly. Please apply carefully and pay attention to the dates that your visa will be valid for. Once approved, please print this as well as save it to your phone and keep with you at all times. https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/Registration
Please try to land in New Delhi by late night of the 18th (or very early in the morning on the 19th) so you can catch the first flight out of Delhi to Udaipur in the morning of the 19th. Vasundhara & Brandon will be arriving in Udaipur a few days before the celebrations begin to adjust to the time change. If you arrive early to India, we will happily suggest some things to do and sights to see! Please note that our event hotel will not be available until the festivities start on the 19th.
All major airlines go to India via Europe or the Middle East. For best routes and in-flight experience, we recommend Emirates or Qatar. You can also look at British Airways, Turkish Airlines, KLM, Etihad, and Lufthansa. For your separate domestic flight from New Delhi to Udaipur, we recommend IndiGo. If you need assistance finding the best domestic flights, please reach out to Rajeev Chauhan on WhatsApp at +919810765921. We strongly recommend avoiding Air India for your international flight if you can help it! Less than average in-flight experience, even if you upgrade to Business class. Air India for domestic flights is completely fine.
When you are booking your flights from US to India, your final destination should be New Delhi (DEL). Book your domestic flight from New Delhi to Udaipur (UDR) separately using a domestic airline.
No problem at all! We recommend staying in the Encalm Spa, which offers a bed and full bathroom for 2-8 hours at a time. These are located right inside the New Delhi airport. DO NOT exit the Terminal - Encalm Spa is located in multiple areas in Terminal 3 (the terminal you will be landing in). Check out https://encalm.com/location/delhi for more info. If you have priority status or lounge access with your credit card, there are plenty of lounges in Terminal 3 as well. We recommend that, no matter how long your layover is, you DO NOT EXIT THE AIRPORT. If you DO decide to leave the airport and stay in a hotel, please be sure to look at hotels in New Delhi's Aerocity neighborhood. This is 10 minutes away from the airport, and full of restaurants, shops, and great hotels.
If you are arriving in Udaipur on the 19th, yes! In order to secure a spot on the shuttle service, please input your flight info in the Google Form linked on the "Travel + Hotel" tab. Once you grab your bags and exit the terminal, look for a driver with a sign that says “Vasundhara & Brandon’s wedding”. If you are arriving earlier, you can book a private Taxi service in advance through this link: https://www.getyourguide.com/udaipureu-l1930/gaein-gyotongpyeon-udaipureu-gonghang-udreseo-udaipureu-hotelggaji-t541079/ Uber is also a very reliable and safe option, and most hotels in the area will arrange transportation for you! Please request this with the staff while booking. We WILL be providing transportation for all guests back to the airport on the 21st. Please make sure you input your flight information in the Google form to ensure your spot on the shuttle service.
YES, AND IT'S LOWER THAN YOU THINK. While the flight from US to New Delhi will allow up to 50 pounds in checked luggage, your domestic flight from New Delhi to Udaipur will only allow 15 KG (33ish pounds). You will need to pay extra for a heavier bag at the gate. You can also book a higher tier Economy ticket, which will allow you to check in 20 KG (44 pounds). For the international flight, you are allowed to have ONE (1) carry-on and ONE (1) checked-in luggage unless you pay extra.
If you are flying through airports like London Heathrow (British Airways route), they will make you put all of your liquids into a 1-quart bag and throw away everything else. We recommend that you bring travel-size of everything and check in as many of your liquids as possible, as international security checkpoints can be very strict!
No, it's not worth trying to fly with it. If you'd like to bring your own alcohol, there are plenty of duty-free shops in the New Delhi and Udaipur airports.
During events, yes! In between events, you will need to order at the bar and charge your drinks to your room or pay with a card/cash.
Yes, highly recommended for the days you are traveling. *You will need to be connected and on high-alert at the New Delhi airport as domestic flight gate changes are very common.* Most service providers offer International Day Passes, you just have to let them know ahead of traveling. For example, AT&T offers one for $12/day. Most phone plans give a 10-day grace period for international roaming charges. If not, it's typically $10 per day. There will be wifi at the hotel, but wifi at the airports is typically spotty and unreliable. Please also download WhatsApp onto your phone and have it connected to your phone number prior to leaving for India. Airlines, hotels, etc. use WhatsApp to connect with you and send any updates. This is also the easiest way to get connected to our wedding planners and us when we are in India.
We have plenty of guests coming from Chicago, Austin, Denver, New York, DC, California, etc. We STRONGLY recommend coordinating flights and traveling together. Please make sure you have WhatsApp downloaded on your phone and connected to your phone number. Most airlines, hotels, etc. use WhatsApp to send updates and connect with you. When you get your confirmation email from whichever airline you book with, you will receive a PDF at the bottom of the email. PRINT THAT OUT AND KEEP IT WITH YOU AT ALL TIMES. Unlike US airports, you will need to show that confirmation either printed or on your phone prior to ENTERING any Indian airport. While you can show the confirmation PDF on your phone, we recommend you don't solely rely on your phone's reception. DO NOT bring any film or disposable cameras (they get ruined in airport x-ray machines, and the agents are not very understanding about that). DO NOT bring any heat tools. Even with an international adaptor, the voltage will fry any heat tools. We recommend that you buy a European-outlet heat tool on Amazon or just bring a round brush that you can use with the hotel-provided blowdryer. Bring any stomach issue relieving medications that work for you. Tums, GasX, Alta Seltzer, etc. Just in case!
NO. You flew all the way to India for a traditional Indian wedding, enjoy it! You may wear Western outfits in between events, but all of the ceremonies and events are INDIAN ATTIRE ONLY. We are more than happy to help with recommendations! If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us.
The tap water is not safe to drink. Please stick to bottled water! Bottled water is the standard in all restaurants and hotels.
1. Passport 2. Folder with airline booking confirmations for all flights printed out (these should have a bar code at the top and are found in the email you received after booking your flight) 3. In the same folder, have your visitor's visa printed out 4. International (EU) adaptor plug 5. International phone data plan (just let your service provider know beforehand) 6. WhatsApp downloaded and ready to go 7. Tums/GasX/Alka Seltzer/etc. just in case 8. Three (3) beautiful Indian outfits!
Yes! We will have a cute bazaar at the wedding where you can buy trinkets and souvenirs, and drivers/hotel staff always appreciate cash tips. At restaurants, hotels and malls, you can use a travel-friendly credit card (we've had no issues with an Amex Gold). We recommend withdrawing cash at ATMs at the airport itself. The exchange rate (subject to change) is about $1 = 85 rupees.
Pleasant and balmy during the day and cooler at night; highs around mid-80s and lows in the high 50s and low 60s. We recommend bringing a light shawl or cardigan for night time (men should be fine, as your kurtas all come with long sleeves). Because Udaipur is nestled in a valley, humidity is fairly low.
You bet there is! Both male and female outfit ideas can be found here: https://pin.it/6jpU95flT
Great question. Please visit the following websites to browse lehengas, saris, sharara suits, and more. On most of these sites, you can filter the selection by event (Sangeet, Ceremony, etc.). There are also plenty of buy/sell/trade pages on Facebook for Indian outfits. Please DO NOT wear red at any point (this is equivalent to wearing white to a Western wedding!). Please also avoid white, this is reserved for the immediate family. https://www.perniaspopupshop.com https://www.kalkifashion.com https://www.lashkaraa.com/ https://www.houseofindya.com/ https://www.cbazaar.com/ https://www.karmaplace.com You can also rent from sites like these: https://www.allborrow.com https://glamourental.com/ Specific colors for each event are listed in the Itinerary section - bright tropical colors for Mehendi/Sangeet, yellow for Haldi, and your fanciest look for Baraat/Ceremony. Most major cities in the US have Indian boutiques that you can go into and try different styles on. Highly recommend this if you're able to find some in your area! If you find something you like and want to make sure it's okay, please text Vasundhara - 303.888.1268.
For the ladies, Indian outfits go best with lots of jewelry! For inspiration, you can search "Indian wedding outfits" on Pinterest to get an idea of what you like. You can find jewelry sets all over Etsy and Amazon for a good price. https://www.etsy.com/search?q=indian%20jewelry%20set https://www.amazon.com/s?k=indian+jewelry+sets+for+women https://www.rangdil.com
Please find (3) kurta sets according to the colors listed in the Itinerary - tropical colors for Mehendi/Sangeet, yellow for Haldi, and your most elevated look for Baraat/Ceremony (think silk, sequins, etc.) Most kurtas also come with a coordinating vest, especially the dressier ones. Please don't wear red, and white is reserved for the immediate family! Websites down below, but feel free to look on Amazon and Facebook as well: https://www.perniaspopupshop.com https://www.kalkifashion.com https://www.karmaplace.com https://www.azafashions.com/en-us/collection/men https://shopkynah.com/pages/mens?customer-category=mens If you find something you like and want to make sure it's okay, please text Brandon - 708.921.2690
Of course! Please just keep in mind the colors for each event - bright/tropical for Sangeet, yellow for Haldi, no white unless you're immediate family, and no red. If you find a yellow lehenga that you love for Sangeet, please feel free to rewear for Haldi. Please reach out to Vasundhara & Brandon if you have any outfit-related questions!
We totally understand that wearing clothing from a different culture can be intimidating - you want to avoid appropriation, want to be respectful of customs, etc. But rest assured that when you're wearing Indian clothes in India, you are showing the utmost appreciation and respect for the culture! Please feel free to wear bindis (the dots women wear on their foreheads), gold and silver jewelry, etc. We only ask that you don't wear red, and please only wear white if you are part of the immediate family.
There will be professional ironing services onsite.
We recommend that you stay at the hotel for the entirety of the wedding days. If you'd like to sight-see around Udaipur, Jaipur, or any of the other beautiful cities around Rajasthan, please do so before or after the wedding! The events/ceremonies will be almost back to back during both days, and any downtime can be spent at the pools, spa, bar, or boutique.
If you have any questions, need travel tips, or assistance with your stay, please don't hesitate to contact our incredible wedding planners at Whimsical Wonder on WhatsApp - +91-6377540342.
Highly recommended since you're already coming all this way! Plenty of beautiful tourist destinations are all around India - the Maldives, Vietnam, and Thailand are just a few hours' flight away from New Delhi. Want to explore India while you're here for the first time? Our planning team has graciously put together sample itineraries for the trip of a lifetime around the beautiful and diverse country of India. Please go to the link below to view sample itineraries around Rajasthan (the state that Udaipur is in), the Golden Triangle, Tiger Safaris, Varanasi, the Taj Mahal, Goa, and more! https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1zS-9LBaAwCbbTs8nw2fF8FfFhHGrJ6d-?usp=share_link If you need any help planning your trip around or outside of India, please reach out to Rajeev Chauhan (WhatsApp: +91-9810765921).
We encourage you to purchase international travel insurance when booking your trip. For a minimal cost, in the event of an emergency, the insurance will reimburse you for flight costs. Unfortunately, the hotel deposit of $250/person is non-refundable.
