In a crowded convention hall, Tilley joined a line for a gaming panel, oblivious to the fact that their soulmate was standing in front of them. David and Tilley began to chat, and when the line moved into the panel room, they decided to sit next to each other. After the panel, they continued to hang out, bonding over $8 pizza slices and shared interests. At the end of the day, they traded numbers so they could meet again the next day. Which they did.

While waiting to close on their home, David had an idea. He knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Tilley. He purchased the ring. He just needed to ask the question. After brainstorming a few ideas, David landed on taking Tilley to their favorite interdimensional art exhibit under the pretense of showing his brother, James, around. Little did Tilley know that James was actually there to be their engagement cameraman. In their favorite room, the aptly named "Alter Room" designed by Ricardo Paniagua, David got down on one knee and surprised Tilley with the question.
