Megan's Version... Our first date was at the library - I had two tests to study for and Joey came along for support (more so to serve as a distraction). Two days later, I left for a trip to Europe, and when I returned, Joey was waiting at the airport. Adventures ensued, with hiking, rock climbing, and horseback riding - to name a few. The moment I knew Joey was the one? There have been a lot of moments, but here's a couple: - Two people and two spoons, aggressively digging into a tub of Extreme Chocolate Fudge ice cream searching for the fudge. No judgement, just focus. - Driving across Ireland in the left lane for ten days with me navigating (sometimes quite poorly), and coming out unscathed, laughing about it all. Joey proposed March 13th while we trekked through the snow in the Swiss Alps. I was thrilled to say yes, and I am so excited to embark on this journey together. Joey's Version... Walking into the library for our first date, I was super nervous. When I got to the top of the staircase and saw Megan for the first time, I was suddenly at peace. As we dove into conversation, I realized just how amazing Megan is. A few weeks later, I traveled to Megan’s hometown to meet her family and my soon-to-be best pal, Ava. I instantly felt at home with Megan and her family. What do I love most about Megan? Her drive and her passion for adventure. Not only does Megan have her own drive, she pushes me to become a better person every single day. After just a few weeks of being together, I knew that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with Megan. When it came time to ask her, I wanted to make sure it was in the most memorable place I could imagine. So on March 13, 2019, on top of a mountain in the Swiss Alps, I set up our go-pro to ‘take a picture’ and asked Megan to spend the rest of her life with me. I am excited to see where our adventure takes us and I know that no matter where we go in life, we will always create the best memories with one another.
