Chuckanut Drive North
A scenic, winding road overlooking Chuckanut Bay with a view out across the San Juan Islands.
Edison
Breweries, restaurants, art galleries. This cute town at the end of Chuckanut Drive has everything you might want for a quick, half-day getaway down to Skagit County. Be sure to check out Tweets and get some treats from Breadfarm.
Fairhaven
The most scenic and historic part of town, Fairhaven has boutiques, restaurants, bars, and a generally quaint atmosphere. Worth a visit if you get the chance!
Kulshan Brewing Co.
One of the many craft breweries in town, this one has perhaps the highest quality beers across their menu. Happy hour: Mon-Fri 3-6 pm, all day Sunday
Larrabee State Park
If you're interested in what makes the Pacific Northwest so beautiful and unique, this park shows it off. Straight from the forest to a rugged beach in a few hundred meters, Larrabee is hard to beat on a sunny afternoon.
Mount Baker
For those inclined to take in as much of the outdoors as possible while in town, Mount Baker offers beautiful hikes and views about 90 minutes east of town in a spectacular alpine forest.
Old World Deli
As good of sandwiches and other deli foods as you'll find anywhere in town. A good wine selection and great happy hour make this a fun spot to hang out in the late afternoon. Happy hour: 4-6 pm Thurs-Sat
Oyster Dome Trailhead
If you have the itch to get out and hike while you're here, this is easily the most popular hike in the area. Pretty strenuous, but ends with a picturesque view of the islands and the Skagit flats.
Taylor Shellfish Farms
Fresh oysters on the half shell, local brews on tap, and a view of the bay. Need I say more?
The Temple Bar
Our favorite bar in town for inventive cocktails and small bites. Whatever your drink of choice, they have a rotating menu house recipe inspired by it. Happy hour: 3-7 pm everyday, all day Sunday

Another fantastic brewery, this one has slightly more eclectic beers and is just a few blocks from Amy and Trav's apartment.
Whatcom Falls Park
Want to get out of the city and into the forest without leaving town? This park boasts a great network of trails to help you take advantage of a balmy summer afternoon.
Elizabeth Park Free Concert
A great park in a cute neighborhood that hosts concerts every Thursday night in the summer. Stop by if you'd like some entertainment!
Elizabeth Station
The best bottle shop in town. Also beers on tap and a great selection of all of your favorite childhood candies.
The Upfront Theatre
A fun theater owned by Ryan Stiles of Whose Line is it Anyway? Shows Thursday through Saturday.
Bellingham Farmers Market
A great place to spend your Saturday morning! The market opens at 10 am.

A fun stop for beer and pizza when you're on your way to or from the mountain.
Boulevard Park
A great stop if you'd like a nice walk by the water (and there's coffee in case that's a staple on your walks).
