FAQs

The Wedding Website of Rudy Hernandez and Vania Lerma
Question

Is there parking at the church or venue?

Answer

Parking near the church is limited due to its downtown location, but there is a parking structure nearby. For the fiesta venue, private on-site parking is available.

Question

What's the best way to get around town?

Answer

Uber is highly recommended and affordable. Taxis are also reliable but slightly more expensive, and both are safe to use even late at night. If you plan to explore outside the city, a rental car is a great option—just note that central Puerto Vallarta and the Romantic Zone have narrow cobblestone streets and limited parking.

Question

What's the expected weather that time of the year?

Answer

Expect warm, sunny days with comfortable evenings. Temperatures typically range from a high of around 79°F to a low of about 64°F. It’s the dry season, with minimal rainfall and mild humidity during this time of year.

Question

Ladies (or gentlemen, no judgment!): Should I wear heels?

Answer

Yes! Heels are absolutely fine. Our new venue is fully paved with walkways, so you should be comfortable.

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

Dress Code: Tropical Formal We want everyone to look their best, feel their best, and be ready to dance the night away! Think colorful, elegant, and festive—tropical vibes with a formal twist. Men: Formal Suits are highly encouraged, but feel free to ditch the heavy fabrics for breathable linen or light-colored blends to keep things festive and cool.

Question

What's the closest area or neighborhood to the church or and venue?

Answer

This is a bit tricky since our ceremony and reception are in different areas. The ceremony will take place in downtown Puerto Vallarta, so staying in El Centro (downtown) is the closest and most convenient option. Nearby, Zona Romántica is another great choice—fun, lively, and just a short distance away. A little further south, Conchas Chinas offers a more serene, beachside atmosphere. If you’d prefer to stay closer to the reception, Marina Vallarta is your best option, as that’s where the celebration will be held. Zona Hotelera and Versalles are also great areas with plenty of hotel and Airbnb options.

Question

Is the venue indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both! We’ll begin with a traditional ceremony at a church in downtown Puerto Vallarta, then celebrate at an outdoor reception by the beach—sunset views included

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

There’s something for everyone in Puerto Vallarta! If you’re looking for a full-service, relaxing experience, beautiful all-inclusive resorts in the Hotel Zone are a great choice. There are also a range of hotels in various price points throughout town—from luxury to more budget-friendly options. For travelers who prefer a more local or flexible stay, Airbnb rentals are a comfortable and affordable alternative, whether you’re in downtown, the Romantic Zone, Versalles, or scenic Conchas Chinas. You can even team up with friends or family to rent a whole house, some of which offer private chef services for meals of your choice. Just keep in mind many of these rentals require a minimum stay of 5–7 days.

Question

How early should I get to Puerto Vallarta to be ready for the fiesta?

Answer

We recommend arriving at least 2 days before the fiesta so you have time to relax, settle in, and be ready for the celebration. But of course, it’s totally up to you!
