Where do we Park?

Answer

Parking is available along Ingleside and the side streets surrounding Society Garden. There is also a parking lot between the Pure Gas Station and Joe D's that guests may park in. We would like to encourage guests (especially those who will be drinking) to utilize Uber, Lyft or carpooling for transportation needs. For guests that will be needing assistance with stairs, please contact either Laura or Patrick directly for instructions.

What is the closest airport?

Answer

Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta, GA is the largest airport in proximity to Macon. Atlanta is approximately 1.5 hrs north of Macon. Of note, Atlanta is notorious for having terrible traffic so please plan accordingly. The closest airport is actually located in Macon. It is very small but worth looking into for transfers.

How do you recommend getting from the Airport to Macon?

Answer

Option 1: Groome Transportation is a van service that will pick you up at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport in Atlanta and bring you just down the road from some of our hotel recommendations in Macon. Groome costs approximately $41 per person each way. It is strongly recommended that you make reservations ahead of time. *see TRAVEL section for website link* Option 2: Rent a car.

What is the weather like in Central Georgia during October?

Answer

The weather in Georgia is often unpredictable and constantly changing. The past averages for this time of year have been a low of 52* and high of 78*. The ceremony will be outside and the reception will have both indoor, covered, and outdoor sections. There will be gravel so please dress accordingly.
