For all you Allman Brother Fans, this is a great way to spend a few hours in Macon.

Hike around the mounds and learn about Macon Culture
Jazz Fest on Riverdale
The Saturday before the wedding features local artists and Jazz musicians in the neighborhood where Laura used to live. Park on an adjacent street and enjoy one of Macon's beautiful neighborhoods and listen to some free Jazz.

A Macon classic for burgers and drinks.

A 2 hour drive from Macon - a perfect overnight trip for those coming for an extended amount of time. Savannah can also be seen on a day trip (though that would include a lot of driving for one day).
