The Champagnery
Our favorite place to drink wine in Louisville. The Sommelier is a former mentor of Jennifer's and has created an amazing wine and Champagne list. Some food options including charcuterie and macaroons (what more could you want??). It also features a rotating art selection.
Churchill Downs
Home of the Kentucky Derby, Churchill Downs is one of the world's most famous horse racing tracks. The Kentucky Derby is deeply engrained in Louisville culture and has an entire festival dedicated to it every year. If you go, be sure to check out the Kentucky Derby Museum.
8UP Elevated Drinkery & Kitchen
A fantastic rooftop bar and restaurant downtown, it has amazing views and indoor and outdoor seating making it a great place to dine or drink in any weather. If you plan on dining, we recommend making a reservation ahead of time as their dining room space is limited.
Big Four Bridge
A walking bridge that connects Kentucky and Indiana. Go in the evening to see unparalleled views of downtown and the river (and after the sun sets it lights up!). The park on the Kentucky side is also a gorgeous walk.
21c Museum Hotel Louisville - MGallery
Completely free to explore, 21c is an art museum/hotel with permanent and rotating exhibits in Downtown Louisville. It also has a fantastic bar and restaurant.
Lueberry
The best place to get smoothies and smoothie bowls In Louisville. Lueberry is located in Nulu, where there are plenty of cool local shops to explore on Market Street while you enjoy your smoothie!
Brasserie Provence
Amazing, authentic French food that cannot be beat. The owner and staff are all amazing, and they have a fantastic wine selection. Be sure to try their macaroon cake for dessert.
Volare Italian Ristorante
A great, local Italian restaurant. If you sit in the bar area, bottles of wine are half priced (and you can make a reservation for the bar area)!
Feast BBQ
Also located in Nulu, Feast is an amazing BBQ restaurant that is a must-try. They also have AMAZING Bourbon slushees (it doesn’t get more Kentucky than that!).
Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory
Take a tour of the factory where Louisville Slugger baseball bats are made- you even get a mini-bat to take home!
Pho Ba Luu
The best Pho you’ll ever have!
Mojito in Havana
If you’ve never had Cuban food you have to try Havana Rumba. Be sure to try their swirl margaritas and rumba queso.
