"I know we don't know each other, but will you go on this hall date with me?" These were the first words Knox said to Vangi on the day they met. She said yes to a date in March 2021, to being Knox's girlfriend in August 2021, and yes to being Knox's forever best friend in August 2023.

The day started with Knox and Vangi both playing in the Chattanooga Soccer Corporate Cup and taking home the win with the AlloHire team. They then stopped at Dunkin for a classic iced oatmilk latte and a snack (Knox making sure Vangi wasn't going to be hangry for the big moment). Soon they were on the road to Knox's grandparents' lake house on Lake Martin in Alabama. This entire time, Vangi did not suspect a thing and thought they were rushing to get to Knox's sister's birthday dinner on time. Driving through lightning, thunder, and pouring rain Knox continually checked his phone while Vangi didn't ask questions assuming his nerves were due to the storm. Arriving at the house, Knox brought Vangi an umbrella and walked her to the back porch where there were candles and flowers lighting a path. Vangi was utterly shocked and immediately said yes. The rain held steady for awhile but soon after Knox proposed, the sky cleared and a rainbow appeared above the water - a sweet symbol of the Lord's promises kept.
