It all started in October 2022, when Vanessa was in Atlanta studying English and preparing for an exam. Like many modern love stories, we met on Tinder. For our first date, we went to Bantam Pub, but it was so loud that Vanessa could barely understand what Michael was saying! So, we decided to go to a quieter place — A Mano — where we could actually talk and enjoy dinner. However, after that first date, Vanessa told herself she probably wouldn’t go out with Michael again… simply because she hadn’t understood a word he said! 😅 But life had other plans. One date turned into two, then three, and soon many more. Two months later, Michael invited Vanessa on a family trip to Mexico. That’s when Vanessa paused and thought, “Wait a second… in my culture, you don’t just take anyone to meet your family — he has to officially ask me to be his girlfriend first!” So, she told Michael directly that before saying yes to the trip, he had to ask her something important. Without hesitation, Michael smiled and asked: “Do you want to be exclusive? Or better said… my girlfriend?” And that’s how this beautiful adventure began. Even though we started off as a long-distance couple, we made it through — and today, we’ve built a beautiful family together. And that’s exactly what we’re celebrating!!!
