Brian and Ryan go way back. They have been friends since high school. Over countless hours playing lacrosse, tons of high school shenanigans, urban landscaping in Orange, and time at the shore, they got to know each other. The future Martins are so thankful Jenna, James, and Brian are some of their closest friends.

Vanessa has her brother to thank for meeting Nic and winning her over. She had gained a sister when Nicole joined the Hall family in 2012. Nic has influenced Vanessa to be her very best boss lady possible.

Kevin and Ryan grew up together in Florham Park. School was more of a social event, especially because both share a no-worries attitude. From shredding defenses on the lacrosse field to ski club, too much fun was had. Vanessa and Ryan are so lucky to have the Kevin, Krystal, Carter, and Avery living nearby.

Mia and Vanessa majored in World Language Education at Penn State, and instantly gravitated towards each other in the small group. They both moved to Virginia in search of jobs, and were roommates for two years in the grooviest of pads.

Michelle and Vanessa met at Vanessa's first teaching job in Virginia. She was a mentor, as well as a friend. They both moved to the northeast in 2017, and miss spending five days a week together.

Jason was Vanessa's co-worker and friend in Virginia. As Ryan and Vanessa grew closer in their relationship, so did Jason and Ryan.
