It all started in Honolulu, HI on July 3rd at Nashvilles a line dancing bar at the end of the pier. Jacob was stationed in Hawaii and Vanessa was on vacation celebrating receiving her Bachelor's degree. After a "hey darlin" and a $10 request to the DJ Vanessa and Jacob danced the night away. Vanessa had her Cinderella moment and when the last call ended she would be on her way back to California. The next day Jacob looked for Vanessa only to find she had left the island and returned to her California life but that would not stop him, Jacob Facetimed her as soon as she got home and they spoke until the sun came up. On July 7th Jacob asked Vanessa to be his girlfriend this is when the fun started. After many underways, Facetime calls, and many flights Jacob and Vanessa became best friends. At the beginning of COVID and the start of Vanessa's last year of grad school Jacob was deployed for seven months, On December 30,2020 Jacob returned from deployment and found Vanessa waiting on the pier to welcome him home, filled with so much joy Jacob proposed that night! Taking the next step in their journey Vanessa and Jacob moved to the east coast to follow their careers. On October 15, 2021 Jacob and Vanessa eloped at Beverly City Hall in Massachusetts. As we look forward to our 1 year anniversary we want to create a space to celebrate our union with our close family and friends.
