4 years ago, on a Monday morning at the office, Michaela and Dyanne (Vanessa’s older sister) were talking about their weekends. Michaela had gone to a party at her friend Nan’s (Fred’s younger sister) brother’s apartment. ‘Oh, is he single?’ Asked Dyanne. A couple of emails, text messages and photo exchanges later - and the blind date was on. It took Fred and Vanessa about a month to meet up because of each of their travel schedules (somethings never change!). During those weeks they got to know one another over email - learning about each other’s love of life, family, friends, travel and each other’s passion for their work (and love of advertising). Turns out that sales and marketing can get along, after all!! Finally, about 4 weeks later, they met in front of a bar down by the South Street Seaport. And 4 years later, in front of that same bar, they got engaged.
