Travel Note

To those of you who want to stay in the country and travel around, here's our favorites.

1-San Gerado De Dota: one of the most beautiful places in the world. We love Dantica Cloud Forrest Lodge-inexpensive, unbelievable views, hot tubs in the rooms. Cold morning and warn days. 2-Corcovado National Park-it's as if you are stepping into Jurassic Park. National Geo refers to this location as one of the most unique and biodiverse places on earth. There are species of animals only found on this one peninsula. 3-Uvita, the whales tail. Also, a breeding ground for humpback whales and the longest coral reef in Costa Rica. 4-Monte Verde Cloud Forrest- Suspension bridges through the top of the tree canopy. Cool weather. This area is very inexpensive. You must find the Ficus tree Tunell if you go there. https://mytanfeet.com/activities/climbing-the-monteverde-ficus-tree/ 5-Arenal/La Fortuna- A must see. The volcano and La Fortuna Waterfalls is where you need to go! If you meet any locals there, ask them about the waterfall/swimming hole on the side of the road. It's a great local spot to swim in lush green jungle and crystal-clear water. Oh, and don't forget the hot springs!

THINGS TO DO IN MANUEL ANTONIO (QUEPOS)

Yes, this is posted under "free time" in the schedule but just in case you don't see it there; here it is again. 1.) Manuel Antonio National Park (better in early morning-passes are limited. 2.) Rain Maker Park-waterfalls, suspension bridges, swimming. This is private property you pay $20 to enter. It is 15 minutes from the hotel. 3.) EAT-the food her is unreal, we especially LOVE Cafe Agua Azul(grilled lobster, not expensive) and the Rico Tico Jungle Grill. BOTH have the most amazing views. 4.) Playa Manuel Antonio-. There are monkeys, frozen drinks, restaurants and shopping. 5.) Rent a jet ski. They rent them right off the beach in Playa Manuel Antonio-CASH ONLY (negotiate with them, it's fun and they will). 6.) Fishing, this area is home to world class fishing. The sailfish above was caught there. You could easily do half day on the wedding day in the morning. 7.) Relax in a hammock on the beach. 8.) Enjoy the resort. Our resort is a wildlife refuge. Animals are rehabilitated and released here. Check out there Instagram for daily cute animal posts.
