Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is Formal- Black tie optional. We invite everyone to dress in your elevated best! The bride never misses a chance to dress up- let this be *your* occasion to do the same! Out-do the bride Ladies are encouraged to wear floor-length dresses and gowns- have fun with color!* Gentlemen are encouraged to wear a tux or a suit with a tie- black preferred *We respectfully ask that ladies refrain from wearing white.

Are kids welcome?

This will be an adults-only event. While we adore your children, we kindly encourage parents to enjoy a night of celebration without little ones.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We kindly request that only those listed on the invitation join us for the celebration.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

The Gwen will have room blocks for traveling guests. Additional nearby hotels may be found online. There are a plethora of hotels near the venue to fit every budget.

What time should I arrive at the party?

Answer

The event will begin promptly at 5:30 PM. We recommend allowing extra travel time due to the notorious Chicago traffic. Early arrivals are welcome to enjoy a bar in the main lobby of the Gwen

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, please disclose the allergy with the bride and groom directly.

Is couple getting married at the Gwen?

Answer

We will have an intimate ceremony with only family earlier in the day and arrive at the Gwen for cocktail hour and a reception!
