we're getting married!

We met at work, which is no surprise to our friends who helped conceal our relationship for the first few months. At first it was just colleagues, then Jake and his friends invited Courtney to play in their summer volleyball league, thinking with her height, she’d be a great addition, but boy were they wrong. Eventually we became close friends, hanging out after work and volleyball with friends. One day Jake had enough of Courtney’s serves that never made it over the net and the bumps that fell flat so he met her on the beach on a rainy Sunday afternoon to coach & teach her how to serve, bump, and set. Spending hours together laughing, we went for pizza afterwards. I think we both left dinner realizing there was something there. The photo below was taken that day and beautifully captures the fun we had together. 1.5 years later Jake proposed on the beach with a stunning ring and a speech we both can’t remember but she said yes!!
