Question

Where is Trout Springs?

Answer

Trout Springs is located about 9 miles outside of Las Vegas, New Mexico, in the Santa Fe National Forest. Weather is unpredictable and temperatures are likely to drop in the evening. Please bring a sweater/shawl/jacket. If there is rain, ponchos will be provided.

Question

Isn't Las Vegas in Nevada?

Answer

Yes, but there is also a Las Vegas New Mexico! Please do NOT go to Nevada, as we will not be there.

Question

What is Trout Springs?

Answer

Trout Springs is our family ranch! My ancestor, Max Nordaus, obtained the property and built his first house in 1895. Trout Springs has become our "Little Slice of Heaven" ever since. We share weekends with our entire family in the summer, and is closed off in the winter. There are 3 main lodging cabins on the property, The Big House, The Sleeping Cottage, and The Lower House, along with a Dance Hall, now called the Ping Pong Cabin. There is an annual Ping Pong Tournament between the cousins every year.
