Do I need a passport to travel to and from Jamaica?

Answer

Yes! U.S. Citizens traveling to and from Jamaica must present a valid passport when leaving and or re-entering the United States. Make sure that your passport is valid until mid November 2022.

Does Jamaica have any COVID-19 travel requirements and/or restrictions?

Answer

Jamaica is open to most vaccinated and non-vaccinated travelers. Fully vaccinated travelers must have documentation demonstrating proof of full vaccination. All passengers vaccinated and non-vaccinated are required to present a negative COVID-19 test result to check-in for/board their flight. - Test type accepted: RT-PCR, NAAT, RNA (molecular test) or Antigen - Time window: 3 days prior to the date of travel - Tests must be done by a medical laboratory that has a Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) registration, an ISO 15189 certification All passengers, vaccinated and non-vaccinated, traveling to Jamaica require a Travel Authorization document. A Travel Authorization is not required to book your flight. However, it is a requirement for boarding. Travel Authorization applications must be submitted within seven (7) days of the intended travel date. Answer

All passengers returning to the United States must present a negative COVID-19 test result taken within 3 days before departure and sign an attestation confirming a negative result. The accepted test types are nucleic acid amplification test (i.e. RT-PCR test, LAMP test, TMA test) and antigen test. What is the restaurant dress code at Excellence Oyster Bay?

Answer

Breakfast/Lunch Dress Code: Casual - Shorts, bermudas, sarongs and t-shirts are welcome. Sleeveless t-shirts (for men), tank tops, wet clothes, and swimsuits are not allowed. Footwear must be worn at all times. Dinner Dress Code: Casual Elegance - For ladies: Long pants, capri pants, or skirt with a blouse, or a dress - For gentlemen: Long dress pants and collared shirt - Casual shoes or elegant sandals must be worn. T-shirts, tank tops, shorts, beach sandals, and flip flops are not allowed. Martini Bar, Stars, and X-Lounge follow the dinner dress code. Please note the resort dress code is strictest at dinner time.

What is the tipping policy at Excellence Oyster Bay?

Answer

Tipping is not a requirement nor expected at the resort but very much appreciated by the hard-working staff! While the service is excellent to begin with, tips may lead to even more excellent service. U.S. dollar bills are accepted - small bills ($1.00s & $5.00s) are preferred as larger bills may be hard to break.
