Wedding Party

Vivien has been my closest friend since deep cynicism, shared hostility toward the dominant culture, and a torrid appreciation of  John Malkovich united us during Sophomore year at Glenbard North High School. Her exceptional qualities are too numerous to list comprehensively.  Just as I am honored she chose me as her best friend in high school (she was enticed by my perverse desire to attend an Alabama Concert as well as Medusa's, the preferred teen goth club in Chicago), I am honored that she is speaking at James's and my wedding. I predict that you will laugh and I will cry

Vivien Lyon

James's brother Jon is serving as James's Best Man and Hiker-in-Chief. He is sardonic and hilarious, fit and tall, with an unholy love of RPGs to this day. He made me feel very welcome and very special as he and James clearly admire each other tremendously and James chose me.
