What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear long or cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat. We are requesting no denim or sneakers, no white (reserved for the bride) or navy (bridal party color).

Do I have to travel from the ceremony to the reception?

Answer

No, the ceremony and reception will be taking place at the same venue.

Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes, there is free parking at the venue.

Is the wedding inside or outside?

Answer

The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all be held indoors.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation states “and guest”, you may bring someone with you. If not, we prefer that it is only you. We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. The only children attending will be those in the wedding. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes! Our ceremony will be unplugged, meaning no cell phones (so our photographer can get the best photos possible). For the cocktail hour and reception, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels. Our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #vamosacastanos, so we can keep track of all of your pictures.

Will food and drinks be served at the reception?

Answer

Yes, we will have appetizers during the cocktail hour followed by a sit down buffet style dinner at the reception. We will also have an open bar.

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes we are. All registry information is found on our website under Registry. We are registered on Zola and Amazon. Please check back periodically for updates, or feel free to contact us personally regarding any questions.

I noticed you don't have a Newlywed fund on your registry, is there somewhere I can send funds for this?

Answer

Absolutely! In an effort to have more safety, we would rather not risk having our information on such a public website. Please feel free to contact us personally and we will get you the information. We will also have information at the wedding regarding this, if you wish to donate any funds!
