Unconventional, but we have decided to be the James'

We met originally online on a dating app. So you could say we are a success story. Rachel knew from the start this was going to be different. The night before their first date Rachel was on the couch at a friends house talking it through meeting "this guy". Cue the day of our first meeting up/date: We were set to meet at Citizen's Cider and catch a drink and chat. Rachel chickened out day of and made some of her friends join her. Once Derek got the all clear, we ventured on downtown to Three Needs and got to know each other even more. Then the rest is all history.

I knew Derek was the one when we were in Costa Rica. We were celebrating our first anniversary together and throughout the day he was often checking in to make sure it was the best day. What I really remember was sitting at our hotel, looking out at the moonbow listening to our song, and thinking this is the best.
