UPDATE: Effective February 15, 2022, the District of Columbia will be requring proof of full vaccination for all persons aged 12+ who wish to enter all indoor restaurants, bars, and entertainment venues, among other locations. We are so excited to finally get to celebrate our marriage with all of you! In order to keep everyone safe and healthy, we are politely requesting that all of our guests take a COVID-19 test two to three days prior to the event. If you are not feeling well on the day of the event, please stay home (we’ll miss you!). We really appreicate everyone doing their part to ensure we can all celebrate safely.

With the health and safety of our friends and family in mind, we made the decision to postpone our celebration. Making the call to push our celebration sucked, so we decided to do something that didn’t suck. We packed up our car and drove to the mountains of NC where we privately exchanged vows on the edge of the most breathtaking mountaintop. While it may not have been what we originally pictured, it was more perfect than we could have ever imagined. We know the day we get to celebrate with you all will just as special, and look forward to dancing the night away on our new date!

Valerie was apprehensive to go on her first date with Rob, and it was actually Matron of Honor Colleen Snow who convinced her not to chicken out. "Let the nice Canadian man buy you a drink!" From the minute Rob and Valerie met, there was an instant connection. Needless to say, Valerie was glad she had taken Colleen’s advice. As they spent hours talking over a bottle of happy hour Malbec at a dive-y bar on M street, Rob, too, knew he had found someone special. The rest, as they say, is all history....
