Easy hikes to consider: -Bear Lake Loop (Easy): An ideal first stop. This flat, sub-mile loop circles a beautiful lake with mountain reflections and is perfect for acclimating to the altitude. -Sprague Lake Loop (Easy): Another very accessible, flat loop that is great for families. It offers spectacular views of the Continental Divide and is excellent for wildlife viewing. -Alberta Falls (Easy-Moderate): A short, popular hike leading to a powerful 30-foot waterfall. The terrain is well-maintained but involves some elevation gain, making it a classic "first hike" in the park. -Emerald Lake (Moderate): If you want to step up from the easiest trails, take the path from the Bear Lake trailhead past Nymph and Dream Lakes to reach Emerald Lake. It is longer and steeper, but the reward is iconic, high-alpine scenery. -Lily Lake (Easy): Located just outside the main park entrance, this is an excellent, flat trail that offers great views and is very convenient to reach from Estes Park.
