FAQs

The Wedding Website of Valerie Mielke and Brett Cobb
Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Transportation will be provided between the Waterstone and Wyndham hotels and the Addison venue on our wedding night. Please find the details for pick up times in our TRAVEL section. For guests staying outside our hotel blocks, Uber and Lyft are readily available in the area. However, please note that ride-sharing prices can surge significantly during holiday periods, potentially increasing 3-4 times the standard rate.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! We picked this time of year to be able to enjoy a fancy celebration with our closest friends and family! We kindly ask for no jeans or boots to be worn to our wedding celebration events. The dress codes are based on the event and are described below: Welcome Party - New Year's Eve (12/31/25): Dress like you would to celebrate NYE out on the town! Ladies are welcome to wear cocktail dresses or nice slacks with a fun NYE top while men are welcome to wear a suit or nice slacks and a button down. Wedding Ceremony (1/1/26): Black tie optional. Please avoid above the knee cocktail dresses. Ladies are welcome to dress in floor length ball gowns or a midi cocktail dress. Men are welcome to dress in tuxes or find their best suit!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, complimentary valet parking will be available for all guests at The Addison. We've arranged for valet service at no cost to you! Feel free to arrive with ease and enjoy the celebration!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Our dinner will be a plated dinner that will take your order from your table. While vegetarian options will not be located on the menu, they are available upon request! There will be options for gluten and dairy restrictions as well! If you have a more specific dietary restriction than the options listed above, please reach out to the bride or groom so that they can ensure that your needs can be met!

Question

Are kids welcome to the wedding?

Answer

While we adore children, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. We've chosen to invite only the children of our bridal party and immediate family. If your invitation does not specifically include your child, we kindly request that you arrange alternative childcare so you can fully enjoy our special day with us!

Question

What airport do I fly into?

Answer

When planning your trip to our wedding, you have two convenient airport options: Fort Lauderdale International (FLL) offers more direct flights and typically lower prices. Located approximately 30-45 minutes from our Boca Raton venue, this large international airport provides extensive travel choices. We recommend arriving at least 2 hours before your flight to ensure a smooth departure. Palm Beach International (PBI) is a smaller airport in West Palm Beach, also about 30-35 minutes from our venue. While it may have fewer direct routes and potentially higher fares, many guests find its convenience and ease of navigation appealing.

Question

For more details, please check the schedule section. Please note that Friday, January 2, 2026, will not feature a wedding-related event, as the bride and groom have chosen to spend a relaxing day with family.
