Rental Cars

We do not recommend getting a rental car in Cartagena. The historic center (where we suggest staying and where the ceremony and reception will be) is not a friendly parking neighborhood. Please use Uber, walk when your destination is close, or take a taxi from a safe point/ No recomendamos alquilar carro en Cartagena. El centro histórico (donde sugerimos alojarse y donde se realizará la ceremonia y la recepción) no es un barrio con estacionamiento adecuado. Por favor, utilice Uber, camine cuando su destino esté cerca o tome un taxi desde un punto seguro.

In Cartagena, you can use Uber or taxis as long as you order them from a safe place (from your hotel or a very touristy area). Avoid ordering these services in areas where there are not many people and if you are going to use a taxi, always ask how much the trip to your destination costs before accepting the service. Always have cash (low-denomination Colombian pesos - 5,000, 10,000, 20,000 is the most recommended)/ En Cartagena puedes movilizarte usando Uber o taxis siempre y cuando los pidas desde un lugar seguro (desde tu hotel o una zona muy turística). Evita pedir estos servicios en zonas donde no haya mucha gente y si vas a utilizar un taxi, pregunta siempre cuánto cuesta el trayecto hasta tu destino antes de aceptar el servicio. Lleva siempre dinero en efectivo (pesos colombianos de baja denominación 5.000, 10.000, 20.000 es lo más recomendable).
