Enjoy whisky, beer, and the fireplace. As the local Scottish pub, Stephen and Katie have spent countless hours cozied up at the fireplace sharing a Belhaven Scottish Ale here. Guests may enjoy their wide array of Scottish whiskies and live music.

Katie and Stephen's go-to after church celebration dinner spot. Enjoy an endless list of Belgian beers, a surprisingly extensive wine list, and delicious bites. Traipse around Andersonville's charming shops while you're around.

Located right next to the Union League Club, the Monadnock building was tallest office building in the world when it was finished in 1893. Marvel at its Victorian staircases and browse its many fine shops including Bistro Monadnock, Optimo Luxury Hatmakers, Field & Florist, and Dashing Chicago Luxury Men’s Shoes among many others.

The original billiards room of the Chicago Athletic Association is now open to the public for suds and grub; billiards, shuffleboard, chess, and checkers are available for free. The adjacent Drawing Room offers reasonable dinner and cocktails in splendid Gothic Revival surroundings. Countless date nights have ended here.
📚🏛️ Newberry Library
A close contender for the venue of this very wedding, the Newberry Library is a veritable institution of knowledge. Check out their public educational programs or just peruse the bookstacks full of interesting manuscripts which draw from 600 years of human history.

🖼️🎨 The Art Institute of Chicago
Don't miss Chicago's fabulous Art Institute including a chance to recreate Ferris Bueller's Day Off in front of Seurat's 'A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte.' Special exhibit **Matisse's Jazz: Rhythms in Color** will be on display. Katie's favorite exhibits are the medieval collection and the ancient near east textiles. Stephen loves the Dutch masters.

Take a tour of the main quad on campus or visit one of the many museums. Katie and Stephen particularly recommend the ISAC museum (the Institute for the Study of Ancient Cultures), the Harper Memorial Library, and the Reynolds Club, all of which are accessible during weekday business hours.
