Immediately following the ceremony, light refreshments will be offered in Kyle's Place and on the plaza, weather permitting. The newlyweds will be received by the congregation. Thank you for understanding that the family dinner at the Union League Club later that evening is by written invitation only.

Answer

Children are always welcome at St. James Cathedral. Childcare for all ages will be provided from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm in the downstairs playroom. Children are welcome in the ceremony at the parents' discretion bearing in mind the expected duration of 1 hour 15 mins. All are welcome at the church reception. Dinner at the Union League Club is an adult-only event by invitation. Katie and Stephen can help make arrangements for a childrens' dinner if needed. Please reach out with further questions.

St. James Cathedral Reduced-rate parking is available at ROW Parking Garage, 50 E Ohio Street, for $17 for up to 18 hours Monday through Saturday and for $2 for up to 6 hours on Sundays. Alternatively, parking is available at Ohio Ontario Self Park, 33 W Ontario, for $10 up to 18 hours daily. Get a reduced-rate parking voucher from the St. James Commons reception desk. Union League Club Self Parking for the Union League Club is available at the garage on the northwest corner of Federal and Van Buren. Special rates are available for guests with tickets that are validated at the Front Desk. Please join Katie and Stephen in their church home for the wedding ceremony: a musical feast in the Episcopal tradition celebrating their love for God, one another, and their community. God’s gracious gift of Holy Communion in bread and wine will be offered to anyone who wishes to receive it. Everyone is welcome regardless of faith. If you prefer not to receive communion, you are welcome to come to the altar with arms crossed for a blessing or remain seated. Organ prelude begins at 1:00 pm; please take your seats by 1:25 pm. The ceremony is expected to last 1 hr 15 mins.

St. James Cathedral is located 2 blocks from the red line. Exit at Chicago Avenue, then south two blocks to the corner of Wabash and Huron. On the bus, St. James Cathedral is one block west from the 3, 26, 146, 147, and 151 bus lines on Michigan Avenue. Exit at Superior or Erie if southbound, exit at Huron if northbound. The Union League Club is just two blocks from the LaSalle Street Metra Station, six blocks from Union Metra Station and only blocks away from every "L" line at the Jackson stations and is accessible via the 22, 36, 146, and 151 busses, among others.
