While there are no direct flights from Denver or NYC, major airlines like United, American and Aeromexico offer connecting routes through cities such as Houston, Dallas or Mexico City. Flight availability can be limited, so we encourage you to plan ahead to make your journey as smooth as possible!

Arrival Information & Transportation

When you land at Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo International Airport, getting to your hotel is a breeze! The airport taxis are spacious, shuttle-style vehicles that can comfortably fit larger groups and luggage. It's a seamless, affordable and easy way to kick off your time in Zihua! Please note: Zihuatanejo is a small town so there are no Uber or Lyft services availiable. If you'd rather not worry about taxis, check with your hotel to see if they offer a shuttle service - many resorts provide this for their guests. For those who needing cash, there's also a currency exchange available at the airport, making it easy to get pesos right when you arrive. And of course, if you have any questions or need help, feel free to text Val or Maroš. We're happy to help!

Hotel Selection

Below we’ve highlighted a couple hotels at different price points to best suit your budget. Just a quick web search and you’ll be able to find many great options as well. There are hundreds of hotels within 20 minutes of the venue! We recommend staying anywhere around the Zihuatanejo Bay to be close to all the wedding festivities. The La Ropa Beach area is a prime location, but you can also find more affordable hotels closer to Zihuatanejo Centro. If larger, all-inclusive resorts are more your vibe, check into places in Ixtapa, which is the town next door and only a short 15 minute taxi ride to Zihua. Wherever you decide to stay you’ll get to enjoy Zihuatanejo’s laid-back nature and unrivaled beauty. Tip: Book early if possible! December is the start of busy season in Zihua!

We stayed here during our first visit to Zihua! Steps away from La Ropa beach in the bay of Zihuatanejo, this resort features basic comforts and a great location. This is a great, affordable option with included breakfast, an infinity pool, a local feel, and is close to everything.
