What should I wear?

Answer

Dress Code: Summer Formal Think elegant cocktail party with suits, gowns, and dressy attire in lighter-weight fabrics. Our goal is formal but festive, so feel free to embrace bright colors, florals, and statement looks. Most importantly: wear something you can celebrate and dance in! Speaking of dancing, a note on shoes: since the event will primarily be located outdoors, wedges, block heels, or flats may be more comfortable for women.

Are my kids invited?

All of our friends, young and old, are welcome to join us at the church for the ceremony. Our cocktail-style reception at 5:30 PM will be adults-only. If you need help arranging childcare for the reception, feel free to reach out. We are happy to help however we can!

Parking?

Answer

There is NO PARKING at the reception site. We are planning a shuttle service from the Hampton Inn Clarks Summit for guests staying there and from the Dalton Borough Building for all other guests.

Will there be transportation?

Answer

Yes! We’ll have a shuttle running from the Hampton Inn in Clarks Summit for guests staying there, as well as from the Dalton Borough Building for guests who plan to park their cars. Our ceremony begins at 2:30 PM, with the reception starting at 5:00 PM. There’s a little time in between to grab a drink nearby, freshen up, or just relax before the party gets going. Shuttle timing and details will be shared closer to the date!

What should I expect for the reception?

Answer

We are planning a cocktail-style celebration, so think lively, social, and full of movement. Instead of a formal sit-down dinner, there will be delicious bites, drinks, and plenty of space to mix, mingle, and dance. It’s all about celebrating together in a fun, relaxed party atmosphere!

Anything we should know about the area?

Answer

Just a heads up, there are quite a few cash-only spots in Northeastern PA. We recommend having a little cash on hand or checking if your bank has a location nearby. For reference, the local zip codes are 18414 (Dalton) and 18411 (Clarks Summit).
