They first crossed paths in college (Go Tigers!!), though Kristin doesn’t quite remember that first meeting, Mike remembers it well. He was a senior, she was a freshman, and he immediately took notice of her. Life took them in different directions after that, only occasionally bringing them back together with random run-ins at local bars after graduation. It wasn’t until then that Kristin started to take notice of the guy who had once noticed her. Fast forward to the strange days of the pandemic (when dating apps were suddenly the only way to meet people) and somehow, Kristin popped up on Mike’s page. Call it fate or just good timing, but Mike didn’t hesitate to use his SuperLike. Neither of them could believe the other was even on Tinder, but it worked. They bonded quickly over their hometown of Southern Maryland, love of sushi, & humor. From that very first date, they’ve been inseparable ever since. After Kristin landed her first teaching job, she and Nala, moved in with Mike in Arlington. Mike became the best doggy dad around, and together the three of them built a life full of love, laughs, and long walks. Eventually, they made the move to Ellicott City and then Columbia, where they purchased their first home in the spring of 2024. Soon after, Mike was ready to get down on one knee and pop the question at one of their first date spots. One surprise followed the next when he walked Kristin to a surprise engagement party with so many friends and family. They have been so lucky to have fallen in love with one another and are lucky to share the love with all of you in September 2026!
