Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes. The dress code is Semi-Formal: Suits and gowns are welcome, and so are ties and cocktail dresses. It will be October, so keep in mind the weather can get quite chilly, especially on the Detroit Riverfront. Fall colors are encouraged.

Unless specified on the envelope addressed to you, please do not bring additional guests.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

To allow all guests to relax and enjoy themselves, we have chosen to make our special day adults only. We thank you for your understanding. We appreciate you making those accommodations in advance!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes there is parking on-site at the Waterview Loft. Guests can self-park in the SP+ Parking garage located across the street from Waterview Loft at their own expense. If you are staying at the Courtyard Marriot, you are able to park there and walk over to the venue.

Will there be a bridal shower?

Answer

There will be a bridal shower on September 14 in Flat Rock, MI.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

No. The hotel is within walking distance of the venue. Ubers to and from the venue in the metro-Detroit area are easily accessible.

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

September 15 to be sure all guests are accommodated for. Thank you for your help in advance!

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Yes, please specify this when you RSVP on Zola.

Is there a cocktail hour?

Answer

Yes there will be a cocktail hour in between the ceremony and the reception. Depending upon the weather, the cocktail hour could be outside on the patio. Please anticipate spending some time outdoors.

Is there a rehearsal dinner?

Answer

Yes. This event is reserved for the wedding party and their significant others and immediate family.

What type of food will be served?

Answer

We'll be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by a sit-down dinner with a choice of entree. During the reception, a late night snack will be served as well.

Is there an open bar?

Answer

Absolutely! And good news! It doesn't close down during dinner. However, we do ask that you refrain from going up to the bar during speeches.

Are you registered? Where?

We are registered at Target and Amazon. Thank you in advance!

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We will have an "unplugged" ceremony. We kindly ask that guests put away all electronics. Our photographer, Elisabeth, is incredible and we trust she will get exactly what we are looking for!
