On the sticky floors of East Lansing bars in the Summer of 2018, Mackenzie and Richard's love story began to unfold. Both Downriver natives, Mackenzie and Richard had unknowingly crossed paths countless times throughout their childhoods, living a mere 3.4 miles apart. Yet, it wasn't until they became Spartans that their paths finally converged. They found themselves drawn together, first by the magnetism of friendship. Bonding over late nights at Rick's, Cottage Inn pizza and MSU tailgates, Mackenzie and Richard created a bond that would shape the course of their lives. Despite growing up just down Fort street from each other, it took MSU's campus to bring them together following three years of friendship. It was as if an invisible string has been guiding them toward one another all along, patiently waiting for the perfect moment to reveal their deep connection. From long-distance dating to a beginning of the pandemic Chicago move, Mackenzie and Richard's relationship has stood strong. They cannot wait to celebrate their love with you in Detroit!
