FAQ

If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to either of us.
Question

What about COVID?

Answer

We currently will not require a vaccination but we extremely strongly encourage all eligible guests to be fully vaccinated, boosted, whatever is CDC recommended by the wedding date.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

Unfortunately, we would have to increase our headcount by quite a bit to fit all of your wonderful children. So we will only be allowing children in the immediate family.

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail Attire; suit and tie, cocktail dress, evening gown, etc. We're not too picky. The ceremony will be on grass so be careful with your footwear choice.

Question

How can I get to Appleford?

Answer

If you are staying in the hotel, we will be providing a shuttle to and from the venue. To the venue: 2:30PM and 3:00PM. If you take the 2:30 PM, you'll have ample time to wander the estate, which will be open to you. If you take the 3:00 PM we ask that you head directly to the ceremony. We encourage people to please take the 2:30 if you're ready as the shuttle only fits 37 and don't want to run out of space on the 3:00. The shuttle will run at ~9:00 PM and 9:30 PM. If you are driving, just put Appleford Estate into your GPS and you'll find the venue. We'll have some marker so you know you're at the right place. Continue down the driveway and make your first left to the guest parking.

Question

What times do I need to know?

Answer

3:30 PM Ceremony. 4-5 PM cocktail hour. 5-9 PM reception.

Question

What time should I get there?

Answer

We ask that guests arrive by 3:15 to make sure that everyone can be seated and the ceremony started on time.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Essentially...both, weather permitting. The ceremony will be outdoors, the cocktail hour indoor and outdoors, and the reception under a tent on the terrace of Appleford Estate. We hope guests will make ample use of the lovely grounds and cozy indoor space, while joining the party on the dance floor as much as you can.

Question

Are there any venue restrictions?

Answer

Appleford Estate is a strict No Smoking facility. This includes cigarettes, cigars, and vapes. Also, Last Call will not be announced and will occur at 8:30PM. Please plan accordingly.

Question

Will I be cold?

Answer

We hope not! The average high temperature on October 2nd, in Villanova is about 70 degrees. Should it be unseasonably cold, we'd advise bundling up for the ceremony but we will rent heaters for the cocktail hour and reception to make sure everyone is comfortable.

Question

What kind of food will be available?

Answer

We're planning for a wide range of options in our passed hors d'oeuvres, buffet, and dessert and we're doing our very best to accommodate all dietary restrictions and preferences. If you have a dietary restriction that you think we may be unaware of, please note it in your RSVP. We're currently planning for options for: vegetarian, pescatarian, gluten free, nut allergy, and protein allergy and have alerted the caterer accordingly.

Question

What's the booze situation?

Answer

Full open bar. We will be providing the alcohol and expect to be able to satisfy any palate, including beer, wine, bubbles, and liquor. Tips are appreciated for the bar staff, but not required. Last call will not be announced and will occur at 8:30 PM. Please plan accordingly.

Question

Where's the after party?

Answer

Daniel's Bar and Grill in Conshohocken, PA

Question

Should I bring a gift?

Answer

We have a registry on the website along with a few funds to help our honeymoon and puppy lodging. If you purchase physical gifts, we request you to please use the registry so we don't have to task someone with moving them after the festivities. Also, we will have a card box at the reception.

Question

Will there be a take-home gift? Can I take a centerpiece?

Answer

Short answer, no. In lieu of gifts (which let's be honest, no one cares about), a donation has been made to Forget Me Knot. This service will allow our flowers to be picked up after the event and re-purposed for use in nearby facilities that could use a little brightening up.
