Flight
We recommend you fly into the Rome-Fiumicino (FCO) or Florence-Peretola (FLR). Train options to Castiglion Fiorentino from either airport are detailed below.
Train
Getting to Venue if flying into FCO: Leonardo Express will take you from the airport to Roma Termini, the main train station in Rome (~32 minutes). You can then either take the train to Arezzo (runs more frequently), or the train with a direct stop in Castiglion Fiorentino (runs less frequently). If your schedule fits more with an Arezzo route, take that since Arezzo and Castiglion Fiorentino are extremely close. Trains run between Arezza and Castiglion Fiorentino every 30-40 minutes. All of these trains are Trenitalia. You can pre-book the entire trip on the Trenitalia.com link below! There is also a Trenitalia App. A shuttle will pick you up from the Castiglion Fiorentino station.
Train
Getting to Venue if flying into FLR: If you are landing at the FLR airport and planning to go directly to the venue, there is a 20 minute light rail ride (T2) which will drop you right outside of Florence's main train station - Firenze Santa Maria Novella. Tickets for the light rail can be purchased at an Autolinee Toscane kiosk for €12. Once dropped off at the Florence train station, there will be trains running every 15-20 minutes with stops in Castiglion Fiorentino - this portion will take 1hr 40mins and cost €12. The Firenze Santa Maria to Castiglion Fiorentino train can be pre-booked at the link below! There is also a Trenitalia App. A shuttle will pick you up from the Castiglion Fiorentino station.
Rental Car
We recommend exploring Tuscany by car! From the airport, the drive to the hotel is only 90 minutes from Florence (FLR) and 150 minutes from Rome (FCO). Notes: - There are plenty of car rental options at the airports! The one listed is just one of the options. - They drive on the same side of the road in Italy and there are plenty of automatic options for those who don't prefer stick shift (cough...Maddie) so no big adjustments needed.
