Grandma's Marathon

Grandma’s Marathon has grown into something much bigger than just a 26.2-mile race along the scenic North Shore of Minnesota. It’s now become a “can’t-miss” weekend in June, a moment when participants of all calibers come together to celebrate the vigor of the human spirit. Crowds will be four or five deep by mid-morning, so arrive early to claim a front row spot. Free bleachers are available at the finish line or just behind the DECC. After you’re done watching, check out Bayfront Festival Park for live music, food, and drinks. (OPEN TO THE PUBLIC)

When the race is over, the fun’s just beginning on Grandma’s Marathon weekend! There’s something fun for everyone – families and kids included – starting Friday afternoon and going strong through Saturday night, with live music and entertainment at Bayfront Festival Park just beside the waters of the Duluth Harbor.
