Matron of Honor
The all-important role of MOH could have only ever been one person in my life and that gal is Shelby. Shebu has been my best friend since we were sixteen so she's seen it all. She's done my math homework, she's braided my hair (then re-braided it when it wasn't 'just right'), she's made me laugh so hard I cried, she's been there for all my wins to celebrate me and she's held me in her arms while I cried. It's hard not to get sappy when I attempt to describe what she means to me so I'll cut this rant short. She makes a MEAN bloody mary and she'll tell you to your face if you've picked out an article of clothing that isn't cute - she's all you could ever want in a best friend for life and I've looked forward to having her by my side since we were still crazy YMCA kids.
Best Man
Meet Luke, the best man and my brother-in-law. Luke and I go way back to our teenage years, when he first started dating my sister Danielle. Since then, he has been a constant source of friendship and support in my life. If you enjoy the finer things in life, like an ice cold cruiser, a good dad joke, or a funny dog meme, then you'll definitely love Luke too. He's a great guy and we're so glad to have him standing by our side on the big day.
Bridesman
I've told anyone who's ever known both Ryan and I that I used to be in love with him. I was 18 and he was tall and hilarious but sadly I just wasn't his type (my mom even told me so). But in the end it was one of the best 'heartbreak turned silver linings' in my life because I got to keep him as a best friend all these years, and I couldn't imagine it any other way. From summer camp skits dressed up and acting ridiculous, to laughs and cries (and roadrunner drinks) shared out at the river, to growing up and being adults - Ryan has been a beautiful, hilarious and kind constant in my life. I knew my big day wouldn't be complete without the only man to ever turn me down in attendance.
Groomsman
Chris is my oldest brother and a groomsman in the wedding party. If you're looking to bulk up prior to the big day Chris is your man as he recently launched and operates a powerlifting gym - The Public House Barbell Club. Chris enjoys lifting heavy weights, adventuring with his kids and a good dark beer.
Bridesmaid
If there was ever a contest for HYPE GORL, Shayda would win hands down. Shayda is the human form of confetti - she's bright, fun, energetic and so vibrant! Although I've technically known Shayda since I was 20 - we recently reconnected on the streets of Santa Monica (literally I ran by her and called her out by her college nickname of Party Girl Shayda), back in 2019 and we became best friends and roomies very shortly after reconnecting! We were Lockdown/COVID buddies and I can't imagine having braved through that tough year with anyone else. If you need a hype girl on our big day, find Shady Baby to amp you up!
Groomsman
Matt, another one of my brothers, is the second oldest of the boys in the family. By day Matt is a middle school teacher but his true passions are traveling & diving. Happen to think rocks are cool? Find Matt at our cocktail hour to chat and he'll be sure to dig up some geology puns.
Bridesmaid
Bre and I were what you like to call a 'dynamic duo' in college. We were roommates in our sorority house, she was President and I was VP of our chapter, and we were 'BIG and LITTLE' - truly best friends. From the outside looking in we were probably so chaotic as a pair just running around quoting the Grinch, singing 'Sorority Chick' and shouting at each other in our own language. But behind the perfectly decorated door of our room Bre and I shared so much; secrets, cries, schemes, laughs, fears, wine, and deodorant. My BIG day wouldn't be complete without her there.
Groomsman
Sensing a theme here... lots of brothers and teachers. David and I's friendship dates back to 2nd grade, spans our high school & college years and has now extended into adulthood. Dave and I enjoy participating in a self-loathing process every spring and summer called Seattle Mariner's fandom.
Bridesmaid
I met Kelly on my first day, freshman year at a new school - we sat together in art class and we immediately became friends. She liked my turquoise eyeliner and side swept bangs and I liked her side swept bangs and killer myspace layout - a match made in emo heaven. Since our LCHS days, Kelly and I have grown up together by always laughing at ourselves, squealing with joy when we see each other, and getting into the deeper conversations that seem scary to have with the rest of the world. She's a blonde gemini with legs for days - so when you see her on 5/6 be sure to give her shit for how hot she looks on my big day.
Groomsman
Manako and I met in college when we were randomly assigned as roommates. Although Manako's claim to college fame was his work on the football field, I like to think the pinnacle of his college athletic success came in our shared club rugby matches. Manako's sense of humor and love for a good time make him an indispensable member of our wedding party. Mahalo iā ʻoe no ke komo ʻana mai iā mākou Manako!
Bridesmaid
Danielle is Curt's younger sister and married to Luke, the Best Man. Although Danielle has done so many things for Curt and I in the time I've known her, the biggest gift she's given to me was being a brave and kick ass girl who left her home state and sought out the sun here in Los Angeles during college. Danielle moving to LA is ultimately the reason Curt moved down to work here - so without Danielle I have no Curt! Mama D, is a QUEEN.
Groomsman
Jimmy is another college buddy I met at Azusa Pacific. We roomed together along with Manako for the better part of our time in college and throughout college created life-long memories. Jimmy is a loyal and dependable friend who always knows how to have a good time! I'm so grateful to have him as a part of our wedding party and can't wait to celebrate with him on the big day.
Bridesmaid
Oh Miss Al Pal! Ally is also Curt's sister and one half of the twin duo! I think my first thought when I met Ally was "damn this gal is STYLIN." She's one of those people in this world who has an incredible eye and she brings so much color and life to everywhere she goes. Ally's always up for fun and groovy times, so she's a crucial part to ensuring our big day would be full of energy and good vibes.
Groomsman
Nick is my cousin and was one of my best friend's growing up. We shared a quintessential childhood exploring the forests, rivers and lakes of the PNW. Luke, David, Nick and I also played CYO Basketball together (coached by David and I's Mom) - so this is a team reunion of sorts. I was lucky enough to stand at Nick's side for his wedding in Hawaii and I'm stoked he will be with me for mine!
Bridesmaid
When I met Amanda she greeted me with the biggest smile and warmest hug and I immediately felt so welcomed and comfortable around her. As one half of the twin duo and Curt's sisters, Amanda is truly such a gem. She's always up for an adventure be that out on a hike, or out to the clerb. Amanda and I are both dachshund mothers, so we get to share a special bond of having the world's cutest yet menacing dogs. Above all the fun aspects about Amanda, she's got the biggest heart and she's always there to listen and have those amazing heart to hearts we all need in this world.
Groomsman
Matt is my right-hand man at Aviator Nation. But he's not being paid to stand up there with me. We have Matt to thank for a lot of things in our life but most importantly it's his love of Dachshunds that inspired and brought Tootsie into our lives. Matt is a great time and will no doubt bring the party on our big day! Just don't hitch a ride in a golf cart with him...
Officiant
We may not have been able to secure Brad Pitt as the officiant for our wedding, but we're still thrilled to have Reed by our side on the big day. Reed has been a close confidant and supporter for both Annie and I, and we couldn't imagine celebrating this special occasion without him. He has always been there for us through the good times and the tough ones, and we are so grateful to have him as a part of our wedding party. While we may have missed out on the chance to have a Hollywood star officiate our ceremony, we know that Reed will make it just as memorable and special for us.
