Amtrak or Metro North to Shoreline East

Northbound: From NYC, there are two options: Option A Take the New Haven Line on Metro North to New Haven Union Station. Then transfer to the Shoreline East railway to New London. Shoreline East tickets are typically purchased on board, so please have cash handy. Fares are $10.25. From New London, it's a 10-15 minute Uber ride to Mystic. Typical fare is ~$15-$20. Please visit http://www.shorelineeast.com/schedules to view train times from NYC. Option B Take Amtrak to either New London or Mystic. Please note limited trains stop at Mystic. We recommend booking Amtrak tickets well in advance to receive the best ticket prices. Fares can become astronomical! The AAA discount can be utilized with bookings a minimum of 3 days in advance of travel. Southbound: Boston/Providence Please take Amtrak to either Westerly, RI, Mystic or New London, CT Stations.

Providence TF Green Airport (PVD) is the closest for regional arrivals/departures. If you wish to avoid renting a car, trains are available between the airport and the Providence Amtrak station. Please visit https://www.mbta.com/schedules/CR-Providence/timetable for additional information. Pending on where you are flying in from, the following airports may better suit your needs. Hartford Bradley (BDL), Boston Logan (BOS), Westchester County (HPN), NY LaGuardia (LGA), NY John F Kennedy (JFK), and Newark (EWR). International Arrivals: Your best options are; Boston Logan (BOS), LaGuardia (LGA), NY John F Kennedy (JFK), and Newark (EWR).
