The Wedding Website of Alex Phillips and Tyler Hughley
So, this is your first time at a gay wedding. Well it's our first time getting gay married! Luckily for all of us, a gay wedding is just like any other wedding so it should be a breeze. Here are a few little housekeeping Q&A's to make sure we're all on the same page the day of the wedding!
Question

Will it be a "traditional" wedding?

Answer

Well, there will be a couple who loves each other very much, friends and family, food, (lots) of alcohol, happy tears, pictures, speeches, and dancing. So if that's "traditional", then yes, it will be a traditional wedding! But we are a pretty unique couple so we're also working to make our wedding feel just as unique as us.

Question

So, who is the bride and who is the groom?

Answer

We both identify as women so that makes us BOTH the brides. Seems obvious, but we figured we would clear that up now to save anyone the trouble of making a dumb and insensitive joke at the wedding :)))

Question

But who will walk down the aisle first?

Answer

We honestly might just race and whoever loses takes the other's last name.

Question

Wait but who IS taking whose last name?

Answer

"Hyphenations in this dancery" or whatever Mary J. Blige said in FAMILY AFFAIR. But for the record, we'll be the Hughley-Phillips' (a mouthful, we know) or as we keep referring to ourselves, the HP's!

Question

Should we wear any rainbow attire to show our support?

Answer

We're gay, not thirteen years old. No rainbows necessary! Your presence and love is all the support we need.

Question

What if I love Alex & Tyler, but I don’t Support Gay Marriage?

Answer

Well unfortunately for you, you're going to have to miss a really great party and vacation. It's our day and we're not going to water ourselves down. We'd love to only celebrate with people who fully support our marriage, so if you might get caught making a stank face in pictures while you to watch two women kiss, hold hands and dance then you might want to politely decline this invitation (but you can still send us a gift!)
