When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP as soon as you know you are able to attend; however, the deadline to RSVP is SEPTEMBER 10TH, 2026- a month before our wedding. If you need support with RSVPing online, please reach out to Haley or Tyson. The RSVP portion of our website is now up!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

CASUAL COCKTAIL ATTIRE. For men: think open-collar/polo shirts, linen suits, khakis, button-down shirts, nice jeans, cowboy boots, dress shoes, etc. For women: think cocktail/sun dresses, jumpsuits, maxis, nice blouses, skirts, etc. We want you to wear something that you are comfortable in! Please avoid wearing white or off-white. Don't forget to consider the weather! The ceremony will take place outside on the top deck of the Gateway Clipper. Pittsburgh's weather in October is unpredictable - it can be rainy, sunny, hot, or cold. Please check the weather before the ceremony and plan your dress accordingly. Since we are on a moving boat, it may feel colder than the actual temperature, so we suggest bringing a shawl or extra cover for the ceremony and cocktail hour. The reception will be in a covered and heated space. What time should I arrive at the venue?

Answer

We request that all guests arrive at the Gateway Clipper dock area AT 4PM. Since our wedding is on a boat, we will be setting sail at 4:30PM sharp. Please make sure you are on time! It will take about 30 minutes for us to reach our ceremony location once on the boat. Having everyone there and boarding at 4pm will help the transition to our ceremony location go smoothly. Thanks in advance for arriving early! Arriving early also gives our guests a chance to explore the boat and take pictures!

Can we bring our kids?

Answer

Due to venue restrictions, the ceremony and reception are limited to adults only. As much as we would like for your children to attend, the Gateway Clipper is a difficult location to bring your children since we set sail at 4pm and dock at 10pm. If you have further questions about this topic, like finding childcare in Pittsburgh, please feel free to reach out to Haley and Tyson. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause, but we truly hope you can still join us for our special day. We look forward to an unforgettable celebration with you!

Should I bring my gift on the boat?

Answer

Thank you for your generosity! We kindly ask for contributions to our honeymoon fund or our future fund. If you prefer other gift forms, we would love something thoughtful, like artwork or homemade gifts. We will be traveling from Montana to Pittsburgh and will have limited space for items on the way back. We ask that all gifts are sent to our shipping address in Montana- Po Box 74, West Yellowstone, MT 59758. Cards are good to bring on the boat!

Is there a hotel room block available for guests?

Answer

We have a room block at the Sheraton Hotel for We have a room block here for THURSDAY, FRIDAY, SATURDAY, AND SUNDAY NIGHTS (10.8-10.11). This location is next to our ceremony and reception venue (the Gateway Clipper). This is a great option for multiple reasons: 1. It's close to our venue, so you can walk to our wedding venue and do not have to worry about transportation to and from the wedding events. 2. Our price at $319/night will not change. Since the Steelers play at home against the Colts on Sunday, October 11th at 1pm, hotel prices around the area and flights will significantly increase. It is not uncommon to see rooms go for ~$600/night on a Steeler’s weekend. Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Our room block is at the Sheraton Hotel, which is next to the Gateway Clipper. We recommend staying here as it is a short walk to the Gateway Clipper. If you find accommodations elsewhere, we unfortunately cannot secure large transportation to and from our wedding events. Pittsburgh is a popping city with many lodging options close to the venue and many rideshare options to use on the day of our festivities. If you would like to carpool with someone who is renting a car, reach out to Haley to see if any other guests would be able to accommodate you. After the reception, we invite you to join us for some drinks and light snacks at the Sheraton.

Where do I park for the wedding events?

Answer

Convenient parking is available in Station Square. Station Square is a section of Pittsburgh that has many different restaurants and bars, so it can be busy on Saturdays. If you plan to drive, we suggest that you park in the Station Square Parking Garage or the Station Square West Parking Lot for easy access to the dock and riverboat. If you are staying at the Sheraton Pittsburgh Hotel at Station Square, you can keep your car there. If the lots mentioned above are full, there are other parking options a little further away (still walking distance): West River Lot, W Carson St. Lot, Station Square East Parking Lot. All lots & garages are pay to park. Most of the time you can pay via credit card at a parking kiosk. PLEASE BE PREPARED WITH CASH, AS SOME DAYS ARE CASH ONLY (usually during Steelers games or city events). Please note that the Gateway Clipper does not control parking. Will I need to rent a car?

To rent a car or not? To help answer this question, consider the following: Pittsburgh International Airport is about 15-25 minutes away from the Sheraton Hotel (where our room block is) and downtown Pittsburgh. Rental Car Options: There are many rental car options at Pittsburgh International Airport. Rental car prices at Pittsburgh International Airport range from $50/day to $100/day. The main reason that someone may need a rental car is if they plan to explore the surrounding Pittsburgh area during the wedding weekend or if they plan to come earlier for an extended vacation. **It is also important to note that if you rent a car and park it at the Sheraton Hotel, it is $34/day. Renting a car is not necessary as there are many ride-share options and public transportation options around the city. Many tourist attractions around Pittsburgh are usually 10-20 minutes from the Sheraton Hotel. Ride Share Options: Taking a Lyft or an Uber from Pittsburgh International Airport to the Sheraton Hotel ranges from $35-$50. Pittsburgh Regional Transit: Pittsburgh Regional Transit offers public transit service to and from Pittsburgh International Airport via the 28X Airport Flyer. The route serves Pittsburgh International Airport, Robinson Towne Center, Downtown Pittsburgh and Oakland seven days a week. You would choose the Downtown Pittsburgh area and then use Uber or Lyft to get to the Sheraton Hotel. The fare is $2.75, which is valid for three hours with unlimited transfers. The Gateway Clipper is a riverboat that cruises the Allegheny, Monongahela, and Ohio Rivers and provides an amazing view of the city! We will be on the boat the entire time for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. The tentative timeline is 4pm-10pm. We are unable to dock during this time. What is the Welcome Event?

Answer

The Welcome Event is open to all guests who would like to spend more time with the bride and groom before the wedding. We will be offering a limited tab for alcoholic beverages. Please eat before this event. We would love if you could join so that we have more time with our friends and family before the big day! This event will take place in the Fountainview Room at the Sheraton Pittsburgh Hotel at Station Square.
