RSVP and Booking Information

Answer

Please soft RSVP through the Zola website by April of 2026, and include an email address. We will send follow-up emails with booking instructions once you have indicated that you are planning on attending. Please wait until you receive instructions from us with a link and a Promo Code to Book. Do not try to book separately from the given instructions. Final RSVPs (booking through Playa Fiesta Website) will be due by September 2026. Reservations may be canceled without penalty up to three months prior to the wedding (October 27, 2026).

Chico Locca Whale Watching Charter

The humpback whales come to Banderas Bay from December-March to breed and take care of their calves in the warm waters! To try to witness these gentle giants in the wild we have scheduled a 4-hour whale watching charter starting at 10:30am on Thursday Jan 28th through Chica Locca Tours. We currently have reserved the Limousine of the Sea 1 Mega Yacht. What's included: 4 hrs of whale watching, open bar, snacks, fajita lunch, and access to various water toys if we decide to park somewhere for a bit. We also will be coordinating round trip transportation between Hotel Playa Fiesta and the Cruise Terminal, pickup time from the hotel is still TBD but should be around 9:45am. The roundtrip cost will be at most $15/person. So cost will be somewhere between $60-$75/person once interest is determined and transportation is finalized. Once soft RSVPs are completed, we will be sending out hotel booking instructions to those who have RSVP'd yes on Zola. In this email, we will also reach out about interest in this event.

What kind of weather can I expect?

Answer

January is a fantastic time in terms of weather in Puerto Vallarta. You can expect warm sunny days that tend to be in in the mid-70s to low 80s. Nights drop to around the mid-60s. It is the dry season so low humidity and low chances of rain.

When is hotel check in time? Check out?

Answer

Official check in time is 4pm, but guests can arrive as early as 12pm and if their room isn't ready, Playa Fiesta will hold their luggage for them. Checkout is 11am from rooms and 1pm from the property.

How do I get around Puerto Vallarta?

Answer

Taxis are the best way to get around Puerto Vallarta, just make sure they are marked. Ubers are also a great option, but may not be available in all locations.

Currency, Payment, and Credit Cards

Answer

US Dollars are accepted at all local businesses and in taxis, however at a less favorable exchange rate. To exchange your USD to Mexican Pesos the best rates can either be found before coming (at your bank) or by using an ATM in town with your credit card. Playa Fiesta accepts MasterCard and Visa. Guests sharing a room can split their bill when they checkout if they wish.

Where is the Registry?

We do not have a registry, we would just appreciate you joining us in Mexico for our wedding! If you feel the need to provide a gift, we would love donations for our honeymoon/house projects.

Will guests have time to explore Puerto Vallarta?

Answer

Definitely! We have events most evenings but outside the wedding day you should have time most days. We are near downtown Puerto Vallarta's Zona Romantica which has several beaches and restaurants to explore. Additionally, Playa Fiesta can help arrange/recommend guided tours including zip lining, ATV tours, whale watching, tequila tasting, snorkeling, scuba diving, etc. While we'll have activities during the day at Playa Fiesta that you can join we highly recommend taking advantage of the local options as well.
